Crescent Moon — Washington Pass Overlook, North Cascades National Park, WA
 
After another chilly night spent in the car, we begrudgingly left the warmth of our sleeping bags and started up the short trail to the overlook. As twilight waned, a beautiful crescent moon began to set just minutes before the sun rose. At the moment, I treated this as a “waiting for the light” shot but it ended up being my favorite shot from the morning.
