The stars were still out when we began our journey to the viewpoint. As we were arriving, the sky was growing brighter by the second. With my tripod set in place with my camera mounted on top, I shoved my hands into the pockets of my jacket to warm them up and waited for the magic. First, it was pink on the peaks and purple in the sky, which slowly transitioned to a fiery orange that washed the iconic mountain range in a blanket of warmth.
